Khao Lak Nature - Rafting/Trekking Tour: Get off the beaten track and see the natural wonders and traditional life of Phang Nga Province.  Visit a turtle-breeding farm and see how many tropical fish you can recognize.  Glide down unspoiled rivers on a bamboo raft, where there's a surprise around every bend - a colorful tropical bird, a water monitor, some exotic hanging fruit or bathing water buffaloes.  Then take a thrilling ride along mountain paths on the back of an elephant.  A safe and exciting trip that the whole family will enjoy.  Green, cool and educational.

Elephant trekking

A lumbering trip through beautiful shaded forest and rubber tree plantations with incredible views from the mountainside stretching out over the Andaman Sea, see fascinating elephant antics such as 'massaging' against a tree or picking leaves with its trunk, and be amazed as the large creature deftly navigates a narrow pathway clinging to the side of a mountain.  After the ride, take a dip in the cool pool at the base of a waterfall, reached by an easy 10-minute walk.

Bamboo rafting

Sample the villagers' transport system of old, used long before roads were built.  A relaxing ride along a slow-moving river with a natural pool to cool off in.  See the raft driver's amazing ability to balance on the end of the raft of bamboo poles unevenly bound together.  Spot local villagers playing in the water or tending goats along the banks, or simply lean back, relax and take in nature's abundance.

Save the Sea-turtle project

Mission of “WWF-Thailand” with “Phang Nga Coastal fisheries Research and Development Center” & “Khao Lumpee-Thaymuang beach National Park Office” 3 organizations to work hard for saves the sea-turtle Project.  Visit for learning & smiling with the lovely animals.

Tip:

• Wear comfortable, light clothing
• Wear swimming gear - the clear, cool waters are tempting to jump into!
• Bring a beach towel and a change of clothing.
• Bring waterproof bags to protect your camera.
• Don't forget to pack sunscreen and insect repellent.
• Wear shoes suitable for sitting in a canoe/raft and walking (i.e. comfortable sandals)
